Hayz Dog was new a few years ago...not sure...I kept walking by wondering about Hayz Dog..I decided to go in and spend my lucky money allowance on snacks...well the chili is a "side" and maybe not a snack..they offer nutella smores and it's a snack and dessert...the smore was delectable and a fun treat...interesting technique...I would get more smores($4) and the list of hot dogs is strange and mind boggling..I may try one sometime...I am reluctant and hesistant...it's so strange...that's how SF is..Hayes Valley is fun for all...this isn't a question about cooking and chefs..it's an urban planning or community development question... It made me think...these posts(about 98)...Chicago? Chicago refers to the former president circa 2008 now...the other president was from Delaware...it's a Washington DC hot dog...presidential hot dog...I ate hot dogs...thankfully some people enjoy responsible humor...the chef may have actually come from Boston MA...hot dogs are a snack...baseball and concessions...tourism... Nevada hot dogs.. review #3049

This is a cool little joint on Hayes St just a couple blocks off of Van Ness/ Theatre District. The owner and and I had a little convo in Spanish about public use of restroom. My wife ran Starbucks for 20 years; I'm so understanding of what a can of worms that is. We resolved it. No fuss, no muss. He brought the dogs and Ovaltine shake out to the outdoor parklet, and moved the napkins to within easy reach. Such a cool guy. We chatted about this and that. My wife had the Elote, I had the Flukey(?). Both were great and super photogenic (lol). The latter not being a guiding principle for us, but hey....when it's pretty, it's pretty. We ate it all. And the crispy not-a-broken chips on the side. Pleasant surprise. And gets my highest rating. Go!! Keep him in biz and thriving! They deserve it. Buen provecho.

As someone who does not eat pork I was so happy to see a hot dog place that offered all beef hotdogs. The hot dog was filled was toppings and the side of chips was a nice touch. Staff was super sweet when I went and super welcoming as well. The price for one hot dog is kinda pricey but I would say for the area it is in and the amount of toppings/food you receive it is fair. So glad to have a spot like this in Hayes valley :)

Quick, easy, open fairly late, reasonably-priced for the area. Hayz Dog is savory, filling, and warm. I liked the bun, differing from some other reviewers on that. Will come back for other versions. Service is good and quick--the interior is casual and quirky--they make the small space work.

Grabbed dinner here on a Thursday evening and absolutely loved the casual and quirky vibe and wonderful service by the staff. There's a tiny indoor space with cool decor on the walls and just a few countertop seats, but they have outdoor parklet seating as well, including a few tables on the sidewalk which we took advantage of with the pleasant weather during our recent visit. We got the fluky with extra spicy peppers, and the bobo with cheddar and no mustard. The hot dogs were absolutely satisfying, seemingly boiled (not grilled), but are quite delicious nonetheless, the toppings piled on, creating a unique flavor for the different specialty dogs. We even devoured the lightly salted potato chips that came on the side, just because they went well with the hot dogs. With premium beer offerings on the menu as well, we enjoyed everything about our meals and experience as a whole at Hayz Dog.
